What documented looks like:

  • Your content production process is written down (intake, outline, draft, editing, publishing)
  • Your client onboarding workflow has steps and handoffs documented

  • New team members can follow your workflows without asking questions

You don’t need ISO-9001 level process documentation. You need “here’s how we do things at this organization” clear enough that a smart system could follow it.

Agents work with data. They need to read from your systems (Slack, email, CMS, analytics tools, project management software) and sometimes write back to them.

If your data is scattered, inconsistent, or hard to access, agents can’t do much.

  • Your client data lives in one system (CRM, project management tool, etc.)

  • Can you list every system that holds important data and what it contains?
  • Could an API or integration tool (like Zapier) pull data from all of them without manual work?
